Let Us Help You Consume Chicago!

Thanks to the creative initiative of section member Michelle Weinberger (Northwestern University), we have a unique and indispensable tool for getting the most out of Chicago during the ASA meetings in August.

Michelle has created an interactive map, Consuming Chicago, which offers a rich list of sites, from notable stores and ethnic shopping districts, to farmers’ markets and historic house museums, which should appeal to our membership’s scholarly and touristic interests. You can also click on descriptions, photos, and videos of each site.

  1. Thanks Nicki and Beth. This was a collaborative endeavor and is a work in progress. I am a relative newcomer to Chicago so I did the best that I could, but I would love to hear suggestions/edits.
